Prologue

Welcome to The Indie Comics Flyer! This is your host, G. E. Gallas (gegallas.com). In case you don’t know, I’m a writer-illustrator of graphic novels and zines. This week, I’ll be sharing a fresh batch of graphic novels, webcomics, zines, Kickstarters, etc. that I believe deserve some attention. Recently, I’ve been very busy with my small business, Open Book Chocolates (running a Kickstarter and all: kickstarter.com/projects/gegallas/the-call-of-cthulhu-chocolate-bar), but I’ve managed to carve out a little time to bring you some exciting new projects!

Webcomic of the Week

Synopsis: A gothic tale set in a small town in Spain. The night of her husband’s death, an eldritch being reaches out to Beatriz and offers her a deal to bring him back to life. This agreement will involve a certain amount of dark arts and heresy that the town’s new priest would probably disapprove of.

A gothic tale involving a widow, a funeral, and supernatural entities? I can’t resist! This webcomic, with a 5-episode prologue so far, has gotten off to a very promising start. The heroine is tasked with procuring four organs in order to reanimate her deceased husband: one stomach, one liver, two lungs, and a heart. And it seems like the following chapters will be titled by these organs. Although The Mortal Remains is currently on hiatus, I eagerly await the next part!

Zines! Zines! Zines!
